Abstract

The present article aim to contribute with a reflection on the human condition and the wise life as conceptualized by Heraclitus. Therefore, commencing with fragments B 4 and 29, the objective was to deliberate on the role of pleasures in the human condition and how Heraclitus interprets them. Secondly, an analysis of fragments B 110 and B 111 was conducted to identify the fundamental elements that enable a better quality of life.
