Resumo

O presente artigo trata de uma figura feminina singular na história da Mesopotâmia que exerceu, ao mesmo tempo, as funções de princesa, sacerdotisa e poeta. Enheduanna foi a mais proeminente sacerdotisa em Ur, durante o reinado de seu pai, o poderoso rei Sargão de Akkad. Ela é conhecida por suas composições literárias e vários objetos contendo inscrições cuneiformes, incluindo um disco de alabastro, atualmente conservado no Museu de Arqueologia e Antropologia da Universidade da Pennsylvania. Refletir sobre a condição feminina na antiguidade e, em particular, sobre o exercício da poesia e da afirmação da autoria individual na produção literária mesopotâmica, são algumas das questões que trazemos nesta contribuição.
